Your current occupation and country of work?
I am Attorney at law from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I practice mostly civil, administrative, labour and corporate law.
How you use European law in your work?
As an attorney at law in a country that is not an EU member, I do not use European law on an everyday basis. However, working in the field of corporate law, I had to use EU law for certain topics, mainly related to personal data protection (GDPR) and international contracts.
How you benefitted from the scholarship and the gained knowledge?
During the Course I had a great chance to learn on consumer protection in EU, including current regulations and Court practices, as well as on new developments in this legal field. The lectures that I attended will help me a lot in my work, since the main principles of consumer protection in EU and in my country are very similar. This especially applies to some areas of consumer protection in EU, such as legal protection of air passengers, which is, under certain conditions, directly applicable to non-EU citizens. Therefore, I will try to implement good practices that I've learned, in my everyday work.
