Your current occupation and country of work?
I am Dovydas Gudžiūnas and work as a Senior Associate at Law firm Ellex Valiūnas ir partneriai at the the Republic of Lithuania.
How do you use European law in your work?
Through my day-to-day activities I consult pharmaceutical companies regarding pharmaceuticals’ compliance, advertising, market access, reimbursement, and variety of other complex questions. Naturally, these questions are mainly regulated by EU law. Therefore, a good understanding of EU law is essential in my work.
How did you benefit from the scholarship and the knowledge gained?
Participating in the IP Summer Law School was an invaluable experience. The courses were intense, interesting, and highly practical, covering essential IP topics such as patents, parallel import, and trademarks. Hands-on workshops enhanced the practical understanding of these subjects. Overall, the programme offered a rich learning experience that was challenging, rewarding and very useful for my future projects.
