Your current occupation and country of work?
Currently, I sit as a judge in the Court of Appeal, and deal with civil law cases.
How you use European law in your work?
Knowledge from the EU jurisprudence practice in strategic litigation is related very much to my work. In Serbian court practice, we are having a back log of cases in so called massive cases - thousands of cases with the same legal and factual matter against the same or against the participant from the same branch (financial organisations, pension funds, etc). As I believe in continued education and improvement thus, I consider the legal training of ERA in EU law as an opportunity to broaden my view in the specific topic on Strategic Litigation.
How you benefitted from the scholarship and the gained knowledge?
This experience has equipped me with competencies and skills that are required for understanding the importance of a subject that we'd discussed and gained new knowledge from the EU jurisprudence practice in strategic litigation, which is related very much to my work. This well-organized Summer Course on Strategic Litigation at ERA became a significant part of continued education and improvement of my knowledge as a judge. Thus I've seen this event as an opportunity to broaden my view on this specific topic.
