What was your motivation for attending this particular event?
My motivation to apply for a scholarship for the Summer Course on EU Technology Law organised by ERA was the following: Because of the rapid development of technologies and corresponding legal regulation, I experienced the need of continuing legal education to give me detailed insight into the current IT regulation, including the key topics of the referred ERA event. Because of the above, the Summer Course on EU Technology Law has been a rare opportunity for me as a practicing attorney to receive up-to-date legal training on technology law.
How did you benefit from the scholarship?
I am extremely thankful to the Friends of ERA Association for granting me a scholarship for participation in the Summer Course on EU Technology Law.
Attending the Summer Course on EU Technology Law was extremely helpful as the course included contemporary hot topics of legal regulation (such as AI, big data etc.) and the lectures were delivered by excellent high-profile speakers. The course provided me with detailed information about the current legal regulation not only of technology matters, but also of other legal areas that have relevance to the IT regulation, such as competition law, data protection, consumer rights, etc.
Last, but not least, attending the course was an enriching cultural experience, which allowed me to exchange professional experience with colleagues from other countries and make new acquaintances. I enjoyed also the online guided tour of Trier.
I would strongly recommend to all my colleagues exploring and attending ERA’s events as an excellent way for continuing legal education.
