Your current occupation and country of work?
I work as an Attorney at law, a registered mediator with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia, as well as an ADR body for dispute resolution of consumer protection with the The Ministry of Internal and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Serbia.
How you use European law in your work?
The ADR bodies for consumer protection were recently formed in Serbia. In our work we are trying to implement the best practices form the EU countries. EU Twinning project “Reinforcement of consumer protection in Serbia as a response to the new market challenges” has helped us shape these new procedures in the Republic of Serbia. We are using the experience, different solutions and practices from the ADR bodies/mediators in EU as well as the jurisprudence on the level of EU to pave the way for best consumer rights protection in Serbia.
