Your current occupation and country of work?
I work as a Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy in Ukraine.
How you use European law in your work?
In my work I specialise in various topics in the field of financial law and tax law.
My responsibilities as Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy include developing and preparing for adoption by the Parliament of Ukraine draft laws on taxation, including those related to the approximation of Ukrainian tax legislation to EU tax directives and issues of tax administration.
How you benefitted from the scholarship and the gained knowledge?
I am very thankful for the opportunity to participate in such a high-quality course.
The lectures were interesting and well-structured, the information was presented in an accessible and interesting way.
It is valuable for me, that in this programme experts provide a practical explanation for the application of a certain EU Directive, which gives a chance to acquire not only a significant amount of theoretical economic knowledge, but also from a practical perspective, which is really important for me as a national expert in domestic law. This high-quality course provides me with the necessary knowledge to adapt Ukrainian legislation to EU legislation. This knowledge will help me become a more useful specialist for our country and national law system.
