ERA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Providing expertise in EU law is the basis for national legal systems to adapt to European norms, and for better economic and social integration. Offering an opportunity to attend high-quality training as well as a forum to forge professional contacts at an early stage in legal careers contributes to developing a European legal culture which will facilitate economic development and democratic processes throughout the European Union.

To foster this, ERA has set up its scholarship programme to enable legal practitioners from EU member states and candidate countries, who otherwise could not afford to do so, to participate in legal training on European law.

Nothing will be more effective to build solidarity and mutual understanding across national borders than the encounter and exchange with colleagues from other countries.

The deadlines to apply for a scholarship for ERA conferences are:

• 2 months prior to the conference (for face-to-face events)
• 2 weeks prior to the conference (for online events)
