    This presentation analyses the most notable CJEU and GC judgments delivered from mid-2024 to mid-2025 impacting the media sector. The presentation particularly covers key rulings from the CJEU in the fields of audio visual media (e.g. T-307/22, A2B Connect et Al/Council), copyright (e.g. C-135/23 Gema/GL), data protection (e.g:,C-757/22, Meta/VZBV; C-200/23, Agentia Po Vpisvaniyata (OL), platforms (e.g: C-233/23, Alphabet et Al.). It also offers a short overview of rulings adopted by the European Court of Human Rights on fundamental rights in the media sector (e.g. ECtHR – Article 10– 20958/14a.38334/18 (GC), Ukraine / Russia (Re Crimea).
