What is your legal background, your current occupation and country of work?
I am a Senior Legal Advisor at a medium-sized law firm named CasePro Law Firm located in Bulgaria. Since my graduation from university I have been focusing on corporate, commercial and especially labour law, dealing with domestic and foreign clients by supporting their daily business operations.

How do you use European law in your current work?
As a leading professional in the labour law practice of my firm, I address issues of both EU and national labour law on a daily basis. Given that I work closely with many foreigners in Bulgaria, as well as international corporate organisations, I often get involved on many cross-border deals with focus on European legal aspects. In consideration of the scope of business of our clients, I am engaged on a daily basis with matters concerning protection of personal data and employees' privacy, prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing.

What was your motivation for attending this particular event?
Even as a student I was deeply interested in European Law, and now as a practitioner, I have become even more motivated to further explore it. For the past two years posting of workers and employees within the framework of provision of services has become a hot topic for the business organisations and our corporate clients in particular. I am willing to gain higher expertise into this area corresponding to the requirements of our firm and the needs of its clients.
The Summer Course gave me the opportunity to listen to top-level of speakers who presented the recent legislative developments in the area of EU Labour Law and paid special attention to the relevant applicable practice of the European Court of Justice.

How did you benefit from the scholarship?
I was able to meet colleagues from different EU countries who specialise in the same practice area, with whom I would like to stay in contact in the future. Moreover, this training will have a direct impact on my work, as one of my future goal is to perfect and modernise the labour practice of our law firm and develop a team of outstanding experts.
