The effective and coherent application of EU law depends on lawyers in private practice being trained to litigate EU law before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).
In this project, ERA and 17 national and local Bars are developing original and comprehensive case studies and organising ten interactive training events in Trier:
- Six basic seminars for junior lawyers and/or lawyers with no previous experience in proceedings before the CJEU.
- Four advanced workshops for lawyers who are knowledgeable about CJEU proceedings and wish to acquire additional practical experience and skills in the field of EU litigation.
- CJEU visit
- CPD
- Who can apply?
All events will include a visit to the CJEU where the participants will see how a hearing at the Court is conducted.
The training hours will be eligible for CPD points.
Participation is only open to lawyers in private practice from an EU Member State (except Denmark), Albania and Montenegro.
