The e-presentation covers the legal framework of the new sixth Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Directive from the perspective of a criminal defence lawyer. It provides an overview of the history of the EU AML regulatory framework via the previously adopted AML Directives and highlights their differences. Additionally, it explains the application of the changes introduced in the new Directive. Finally, the presentation addresses the changes related to whistleblowing, internal investigations, and sanctions.
