The e-presentation examines how the interoperability of EU large-scale databases is aligned with data protection standards. The first part provides an overview of the background and general information concerning eu-LISA, including its significant role in public procurement procedures. Additionally, the concept of interoperability is explored, highlighting how it facilitates the exchange and processing of data. The second part elaborates on the handling of personal data within the framework of interoperability of EU large-scale databases, with a focus on safeguarding the principle of purpose limitation. The final part addresses the responsibilities of eu-LISA under the interoperability regulations, as well as the role of supervisory authorities in monitoring compliance.
