This e-presentation offers an update on personal data protection in the media sector. Its first focus is on the Member States’ implementation of Article 85 GDPR on the possible exemptions for journalistic purposes. The second focus is on consent within the framework of recent EDPB opinions/guidelines (e.g.: pay models implemented by VLOPs), and on current EU projects on Internet users’ age verification.
