This presentation explores the screening of foreign direct investments through European company law, addressing freedom of establishment and corporate mobility, privatisations and golden shares, as well as a number of harmonising instruments contributing to screening: Takeover Bids Directive, SRD II, Transparency Directive and Cross-Border Mergers Directive.
