The newly created European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) is scheduled to become operational at the end of 2020. Hence, this project seeks the momentum to train legal practitioners from all EU Member States in working with the EPPO by establishing various training materials and offering several activities to national prosecutors, investigating judges, and defence practitioners in the years 2021 and 2022.
Developing standardised training materials and eLearning courses that will be reusable in future training is one of the main objectives of the project. The provision of the materials in various languages is another factor which will reinforce the project’s results. The training package, guide and eLearning courses will be available form ERA’s, EJTN’s and ECBA’s websites which will be freely accessible for a certain period of time after the project’s finalisation. Besides this, the materials will be disseminated to all stakeholders active in the area of providing training for prosecutors, investigating judges and defence practitioners thus enlarging the circle of beneficiaries and improving the project’s sustainability.
The knowledge acquired through the proposed activates will help prosecutors, investigating judges and defence practitioners to work efficiently with the EPPO and to assist their colleagues. The project will create a solid network of practitioners, which will be highly beneficial as it will increase the confidence of prosecutors and other professionals to contact their colleagues from abroad.
